Synopsis: Redesigning the web site for First National Information Network (or just FNIN for short) was my first assignment at Zuma Beach Entertainment (back then it was called ExchangeMall). FNIN is one of the businesses operated by Zuma Beach Entertainment. It's a lead generation company whose primary business is generating or acquiring sales leads in a variety of vertical markets (primarily investment) and then selling those leads to businesses that seek to communicate with individuals and businesses in specific vertical markets.
For those who are unfamiliar with the "lead" concept, leads are basically what you have after you process a raw contact list by some means (i.e. with a telephone survey) to identify the preferences of the people on the list.
As far as the improvements made on the site over the original one. The content was rewritten, expanded upon, and placed into a new design template. The list counts were connected to the actual contact databases in order to display current counts. Sales and support avatars were placed on some of the pages. A quotation and an order system was also put in place along with an online pay credit card system that works through PayPal. Last but not least a multi-user application called Marbles was added to the site which supports the processing of newly acquired lists as well as the generation of list performance reports which are used for feedback purposes.
